1. Taormina's Best Beaches

Isola Bella Beach: Tucked away like a secret treasure, Isola Bella Beach boasts crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings. Accessible by a narrow path or a cable car, this pebbly paradise offers a more secluded and intimate beach experience. Don't miss the chance to explore the islet of Isola Bella, which is a nature reserve with incredible marine life.

Spisone Beach: A stretch of golden sand lapped by the gentle waves of the Ionian Sea, Spisone Beach is perfect for families and those seeking a relaxed atmosphere. Its shallow waters make it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing. You'll find beachfront restaurants serving fresh seafood and local delicacies.

Imagine basking in the sun with unparalleled vistas in the background. Room rates vary based on the season, starting from around €700 per night for a classic room.

Belmond Villa Sant'Andrea: This elegant property boasts a private beach as well, ensuring tranquility and exclusivity for its guests. 3. Beach Clubs: Luxury / Leisure Combined

Mazzarò Sea Palace Beach Club: Located on the shores of Mazzarò Bay, this upscale beach club provides not only sun loungers and umbrellas but also a private pier for diving into the azure waters. Indulge in gourmet dining at the club's restaurant and experience true luxury. Prices for access start at around €50 per person.

Lido La Pigna: Situated on Spisone Beach, this stylish beach club offers a range of services, including sunbeds, parasols, and refreshing cocktails. The cozy atmosphere and stunning views make it a popular choice. Access to Lido La Pigna typically costs around €30-50 per person. This is the beach club we went to - we thought it was worth it for a fun splurge beach day, however, the food is very expensive and we wouldn't have done it for more than one day.

4. Getting There and Back

From Taormina town, accessing these mesmerizing beaches is a bit of a walk if you go on foot. There are many stairs involved - going down to the beaches isn't nearly as bad as walking back up! Many hotels provide shuttle services to their private beaches, while public transportation options like buses are sometimes available. Uber is not reliable.

For the journey back, keep in mind the operating hours of transportation services. Buses, cable cars, and hotel shuttles might have specific schedules. It's advisable to plan your return ahead of time to ensure a smooth journey. The beach clubs typically have a shuttle service available at extra cost. Check this beforehand.
